The redevelopment of the retail façade and commercial office entry lobby at 175 Pitt Street is now complete. Intelle Building Services provided electrical and mechanical services design for the project which includes the reconfiguration and redevelopment of the existing retail areas.
The staging and methodology for the works was critical as the anchor tenant was required to relocate from its current location due to building demolition, and a temporary store was required as an early works package.
The flagship store for the premium retailer will formed part of the second stage of redevelopment along with a number of other high-end retail spaces.
Existing documentation was limited and extensive survey work was required in order to ascertain the feasibility of the façade upgrade and retail redevelopment. The sub-basement tenancy (Fitness First) was required to remain operational for their normal extended opening hours with relocation of their entrance stairs part of the reconfiguration.
